What to expect
Bishkek
Your guide and driver will meet you at your hotel in the morning 7AM and begin the journey toward Issyk-Kul Lake. As you leave the city behind, you’ll drive through wide valleys and into the dramatic landscapes of the south shore
Boom Gorge
During the drive, you’ll make several short scenic and rest stops, including places like the impressive Bom Gorge—a narrow, rocky mountain pass known for its red cliffs and winding roads. These stops are perfect for taking photos, stretching your legs, and enjoying light snacks or a coffee at roadside spots, while soaking in the stunning views as the turquoise lake comes into view.
Barskoon Waterfalls
Once you reach the Barskoon Gorge, you'll begin a light to moderate hike through alpine forest trails, where you can choose from three different waterfall routes, each offering a unique experience. Depending on your fitness level and interests, your guide will help select the best path for you—ranging from an easy 30-minute walk to more adventurous hikes lasting up to 2 hours. As you make your way through the gorge, you’ll enjoy fresh mountain air, the peaceful sound of flowing water, and sweeping views of the valley, with chances to visit landmarks like the Yuri Gagarin monument.
Issyk-Kul lake
After the hike, you’ll sit down for a hearty lunch. You can choose to enjoy your meal as a relaxing picnic in nature, surrounded by the sounds and sights of the mountains, or inside a traditional Kyrgyz yurt, where you’ll experience warm hospitality and homemade local dishes. Just let your guide know your preference in advance, and everything will be arranged for your comfort.
Ak-Sai Canyons
Following lunch, the tour continues to the spectacular and lesser-known Aksai Canyons, a hidden gem nestled in the hills along the lake. These canyons offer some of the most dramatic and colorful landscapes in Kyrgyzstan, with deep gorges, layered rock formations, and panoramic views that stretch for miles. Unlike more crowded sites, Aksai feels untouched and peaceful. Your guide will lead you on a short hike through the canyons, adjusted to your pace and interests, as you explore winding trails and climb to viewpoints that offer fantastic photo opportunities. It’s a perfect spot for those who love unique landscapes and want to see a quieter, more intimate side of Kyrgyz nature.
Bishkek
After a full day of adventure, you’ll begin the drive back to Bishkek, arriving at your hotel in the evening with unforgettable memories and a camera full of photos.
